Death Note- Another Note Chapter 2

Mello began humming to Skillet-Monster. For some reason, most likely his MS, he was now happy.

[FFF I LOVE THAT SONG.] Liz began to fall asleep, Oliver snuggling up to her side.

[[ME TOO. I'm listening to it.]]

"I know about you and Bai, Mitheel. I'm not gonna hurt you, but just tell me about it."

Mitheel sighed and closed his eyes. "We're going on the trip together. And we're...in love."

Mello smiled to himself. "Are you positive about this?" He replied. "I normally wouldn't encourage this, but have you kissed her?"

"I'm pretty sure, and no, I haven't kissed her," Mitheel said, blushing a little. Noticing his blush, Jekyll pawed at his face.

"Then why are you still here?"

Mitheel paused. "What are you talking about?"

"Again, I seriously don't encourage this. If you really loved her, you'd prove it to her."

Mitheel shifted uncomfortably. "I don't know how though," he admitted.

"That's as close as I'll get to encouragement, so don't expect it to come when your dying."

Mitheel blinked. "Whatever." he rubbed his hands through Jekyll's soft, pure white fur.

Fuck it.... Mello's MS switched over to pissed off.

Mitheel sighed, getting up to go to his room. Lightning broke away from playing tag in the kitchen with Anya to follow him.

"Oh shit..." Mello saw Bai's eyes, scared half to death. "C'mon in...." He whispered, Bai hoping Mitheel didn't hear him nor herself.

Mitheel trotted off to his room, shutting the door and locking it. He curled up in his bed, wanting sleep but annoyed as it didn't come.

"What do you want?" "Look, I'm only here to tell you I'm not gonna hurt him. I would never hurt him." "Yes, I know that. Because he told me about...." he waved his arms, Bai understanding. "And also, watch your back for any...murderer's. Not myself or my family, but ones you don't know. Because your due to die like that, and I can't have that happen." "Thanks," Bai was pushed out the door, running back home.

Soon, Mitheel drifted off into an uneasy sleep. [Next morning?]

[[YUSH.]]

Mello was woken up by the sunlight beaming into the living room. He walked into his bedroom to check on Matt before getting coffee.

Matt was still sleeping in his room, Shasta lying on top of him protectively.

Mitheel woke early, going outside, his skin warming in the early sun. He noticed that the sled was already set up, the excited cats sitting in their place, harnesses attatched to the long ropelike cord. He grinned and approached, petting each one in turn before setting off to find Bai.

Bai was halfway at the sled, running into a tree. "Arghhh!!"

Mitheel looked over at her. "Bai, need some help?" he asked, walking over.

"When did that tree get there? Screw it..." she got up quickly, scrambeling to find her gun.

"Are you ready to go? The cats are all hooked up, the sled's ready and full with everything we'll need."

"Yeah," Bai huffed, grabbing the gun. "I talked with your father last night." She began walking.
