Death Note- Another Note Chapter 2

Bai ducked, hiding from Mello. "She's not in here, asshole."

"She must've left then," Mitheel told him. At that moment, Liz skidded around the corner. "Guys, guys, I have bad news!" she said, skidding on the carpet and running into the wall. "...Ouch."

"Haha." Mello laughed at her. "Alright, what's the news?"

"Something terrible's arose. Some serial killer, he's moving through the dementions looking for me and all those associated with me. He's killing anyone and everything that gets in his way." she panted, and slipped a jacket on. "We need to leave, now, before anyone else gets killed."

Bai crashed out of the room. "Another killer?! Holy crap! I wanna meet him! Oops...."

"This is a killer you don't want to meet," Liz reassured her. "I need all of you to come with me, because he's not in this demention now, but he could very soon be here. And if one of you died because of me..." she paused for a moment. "I don't know what I'd do with myself."

"I've met worse people than you'd imagine Liz," Bai argued. "I can handle a bitch like a serial killer."

"I don't mean--bah." Liz shook her head. "Anyway, we need to leave. Anybody seen Jay and Auty?"

Autumn poked her head out of her bedroom. "What?"

"We need to leave. It's Kevin." she murmured urgently.

"Kevin?! He's back?"

Liz nodded. "The stupid dickwad can't seem to get it through his head that I'm not in love with him."

"Just shoot him, it solves most problems." Bai muttered. Autumn watched Liz nodding.

"Uh...you can't shoot someone if you can't see them can you? Plus, he's still got five lives left. I'd have to kill him five times over, which is virtually impossible."

Bai's head clunked against the hardwood floor, resting. "Ow..." "He still has five lives? Fuck!"

"Wait wait wait," Matt, who had been sitting calmly until now said. "Five lives?! Is he a cat or something?" "No. We demention travellers all get nine lives when we're 10 years old--8 from the dead and 1 from the living. It's a painful process but an almost surefire way that we'll be...everliving. Not only that, but every year we spend in a demention other than our home demention is tacked onto the end of our lifespan. So basically, as long as we keep travelling, we'll live forever."

"I wanted to explain it." Autumn whined to Liz.

"Ah well. Reply faster next time." Matt stood, jaw open. "H-how long do you have to live then?" "Right now, I have about...257 years left."

"I don't know how many I have, but I have about the same as Liz. Possibly less."

"Uh..." "Enough dilly-dallying! We gotta get home." Liz grabbed Matt and Mello's hands. "You too, Mitheel and Bai. Mitheel, if you want Lightning you'd better get him now. Tell Miranda and Mellenda too, don't wanna leave them behind."

Mello was yanked. "Easy, damnit."

Mitheel called for his sisters, and Mellenda wriggled out from under the bed, Lightning following her. Shasta was at Matt's side, and Oliver was already waiting outside. She yanked them outside, and then huffed. "Damnit, where's Jonathan?"

"Last time I saw him I remember him saying something about travelling back home."

"He must already be there then." Flame and Rosibelle trotted to their mother's side, and Liz drew a big circle in the dirt around them. "Everyone, stay inside the circle," she commanded. "Is Miranda here?"

"I'm here." Miranda huffed.
