Death Note- Another Note Chapter 2

"Get in the circle." Liz dragged Miranda into the circle and she checked to make sure that everyone was inside of it. "Now, this won't hurt a bit, I promise," Liz grinned. She stepped into the center, eyes glowing a bright silver. Suddenly, they were gone, whirling through time and space...

Liz flopped on the ground with an "Oof!" she stood up shakily and shook her head. "Uh...shit. We're not home are we?" she said, lifting up a furry paw. "Why the hell did I end up in ThunderClan territory..."

"ThunderClan? Like that crazy book?" Bai sqwaked at Liz, Miranda licking her paw.

Liz nodded. "I didn't want to come here, but--" "EAGLEFLIGHT!" a fluffy black kitten barreled into her, knocking her down. "What--oh, hey there Darkpaw. Get off me!" Liz said, pushing the kitten off of her.
Matt, meanwhile, was having a bad time. "Why am I a cat? What the hell! I don't even like cats! Oh my goodness, I must be having a bad day!"

"Poor you." Mello purred, tackling him.

"He he, nice stub Mello," Oliver purred, flicking his tail in the direction of Mello's tiny tail.
"Dear me, are they fighting?" Shasta asked in her british accent. Liz covered her ears.
"Oh, no! She's got British wolf in her!"

"Arg, I hate British things!"

"Intruders!" a broad-shouldered dark brown tabby stepped from the bushes, amber eyes serious.
"Calm it down, Brambleclaw," Liz meowed, shaking her fur. "These are my friends, Matt, Mello, Mitheel, Bai, Shasta, and Lightning. Of course, you already know Autumn, Oliver, and me."
His expression brightened. "Hello! Nice to see you." he purred and rubbed heads with her, and she returned the greeting.

"BRAMBLECLAW." Autumn launched herself into the air, landing on Brambleclaw. Bai laughed, along with Miranda and Mello. Miranda cleared her throat quickly.

Brambleclaw meowed as he was pushed to the ground. "Eh, it's been a while Autumnfur," he said, using her warrior name.
Meanwhile, Matt was having a bit of a problem with Jayfeather, who had wandered out to get some herbs.
"Quit staring at me," Matt hissed towards him.
"I can't stare at you, you idiot, I can't see!" the spiteful tom snapped back, growling.

"It has, Bramble. It has...." Autumn smiled. "I'm sorry about that, Jayfeather. He's new..."

"New, mousedung!" Jayfeather's sightless eyes sparked with a warning, saying something like If you claw me I'll put mouse bile in your food.
Matt huffed and tossed his head, finding that his goggles were still around his neck. "Hey! I still got my goggles!"
Brambleclaw squirmed out from under her. "Anyway, I have to take you guys to Firestar. He...needs to speak to you. It's important."

"We were going home, so he'll need to make it quick." Autumn growled, moving away from Brambleclaw.

Brambleclaw nodded. "Well, come on then." the deputy turned and started off into the trees, Liz following. Matt growled at Jayfeather and stalked after her, Mitheel and Mellenda following.

Autumn trailed behind Brambleclaw, Bai running slower now. Miranda ran behind Mellenda.

Brambleclaw started to slow down as they approached camp. Liz skidded to a stop, Matt running into her. "Whoa," the goggle-wearing cat exclaimed, looking around at the clearing full of cats. "That's a whole lot of cats..." Mitheel stepped back a little bit so he could stand beside Bai. A shorthaired ginger and white she-cat approached, half of her face terribly mangled and one eye missing. "Brightheart!" Liz purred, licking the she-cat's cheek in greeting. "I've missed you."

"That is a lot of cats." Bai whispered, looking around. Mello stood in his place beside Matt.

Liz motioned to Mello. "Brightheart, meet Mello," she purred. "Tell her your story Mello," Liz murmured to Matt.
A young blue eyed brown tabby padded up to Bai and sniffed her. "Are you a kittypet? You smell like Twolegs."

"I'd rather not," Mello mumbled. He licked his paw to escape telling the story.

"I'll slap you if you ask me that again." Bai jumped backwards, hissing at the tabby.

"Okay, I'll tell it then." Liz turned to face Brightheart. "A long time ago, when Mello was a..." she paused, knowing saying "when he was 20" wouldn't register in Brightheart's brain. "...a young warrior, he blew up a...twoleg nest and burned his face as you can see." Liz wagged her curled tail. "Brightheart, care to dictate your story?"
Brightheart shifted from paw to paw, her one good eye looking around. "Well, when I was an apprentice, me and my friend Swiftpaw wanted to show Bluestar, the former ThunderClan leader that we were capeable of being warriors. So, we decided to go after a pack of dogs that was living in Snakerocks at the time...and we lost. Badly. I lost half of my face and my eye, and Swiftpaw..." she paused. "Swiftpaw lost his life."
Meanwhile, Lionblaze was laughing at Mitheel. "So you're trying to tell me that both of your parents were toms and you were kitted by a tom? That's ridiculous! Even the youngest kits know that toms can't have kits! It's impossible!"

The tabby tilted his head. "Slap? Anyway, what's your name? I'm Goldenpaw."

"It didn't mean that you could tell it." Mello hissed, infuriated at Liz at the moment. He plopped his rear down. "Certain things are private."

"Bai." She meowed annoyingly.

Liz licked Brightheart's ear to show sympathy for her, and suddenly, Mello's bobtail was attacked by a small kitten. "Why don't you have a tail?" the kitten asked curiously. "Did the twolegs cut it off? Like old Halftail?"

"Bai..." the cat giggled. "That's a funny name."

Mitheel frowned at Lionblaze. "But its possible! It really is!"

"Arg!" Mello oomfed. "God damnit, get offa me..."

"So? It's my name and I like it."

"But really? Did the twolegs cut your tail off? Or maybe a dog bit it off? Was it that big one over there?" she asked, twitching an ear in the direction of Shasta, who was intently listening to Jayfeather describe some herbs.

"How come you don't have a name like me? I bet you're a loner, or maybe a rouge. You don't smell like any other Clan though..."

Mello grew frustrated, along with Bai. "Stop with the questions!" They both screamed in unison.

Suddenly, a loud yowl hushed the Clan. "Firestar has returned!" a leggy firey ginger furred tom padded through the parted cats, a smaller ginger tabby beside him, followed by a brown tabby and a dark ginger she-cat with one white paw. Firestar stopped before Liz and bowed his head. "Hello, Eagleflight." he turned to Autumn. "Autumnfur. I've been waiting for you two."
