Light blinked. Mitheel looked over at L, and Lightning's ears twitched as L approached. Jessamine's parrot flew over and landed on Mitheel's head, rustling through his blond hair.

Light would have approached Bai too if Jessamine had not been snoozing on his chest. Mitheel batted at the bird. "Hey! Get off!"

Mitheel shrank back against the wall, watching them with wide eyes. Jessamine was awake now, staring at Bai with her sharp black eyes.
