"Bai, I uh, I gotta go somewhere like, by myself kinda, but I need to bring someone with me...do you want to come?"

"Yes you are," Liz grinned.

"Am not...." Jon sighed, before getting up to make something to eat. Mello walked by the bathroom door to check on Matt.

[Matt is in his room now o-o] Matt was curled up on his bed, sleeping.

"It'll be dangerous," Mitheel warned. "And probably long."

[Oh crap.]

Mello leaned in the doorway, checking on him.

"Danger! Fuck yes!" She replied, more light reflecting from the blood-stained blade.

Matt twitched a little in his sleep, but he didn't whine or cry out. Shasta was on top of him, and she raised her head and growled warningly at Mello.

Mitheel grinned. "I guess you like that idea?"

"Shasta, you have to come here now. Matt could kill you." He said softly.

"If it means someone dies, then yes."

"Not yet," Liz called to Mello. "There's still time before that happens. Let her be for now." Shasta laid her head back on Matt's chest, whining softly and thumping her tail.

Mitheel shifted on his feet nervously. "Actually...I'm saving someone. My dad actually."

"Matt? Hmph, fine. Only because he didn't murder me."

"Alright," Mello replied.

Mitheel grinned. "Thanks Bai. I'm leaving tomorrow, real early, 6:00. I hope you like sled travel." With that, he was off, running back to his house.

Liz sighed, leaning back against the couch. "Jay," she whined.

"Alright?" she replied, her voice going high then down to low.

"Yes, Liz?"

Mitheel reached the house, slipping back into Matt's room to check on him.

"I want Sonic, really bad."

Mello watched as his son slipped into the room.

"I can't do anything about that, because they're 30 miles from here."

"Mitheel," Matt murmured, opening one eye.
"Dad?" Mitheel murmured back lowly. "What's wrong?"
Matt barely motioned with his hand for Mitheel to come closer. "Mitheel, remember, a while ago, when I told you if anything was ever going to happen to me or did happen to me that I'd give you something of mine?" Mitheel bobbed his head up and down, and watched as Matt slipped his orange goggles from around his neck, handing them to Mitheel with his last bit of strength. "Take them when you go." he murmured.
Without even asking, Mitheel realized what his father was saying. "Dad..." he murmured, but Matt had already slipped back into his sleep.

"Then get me some damn peanut butter, or icecream of some sort."

[I wish my dad was nice....]

"Chill out...." he replied, getting her the tub of ice cream.

[Same here.] Mitheel slinked out of the room and went to socialize himself with the new cats, playing and talking to them.

Liz grinned. "Thanks. You're the best," she purred.

Mello sat, frozen, on the chair. His eyes were completely blank, staring at the black and red wall. Jon was walking back in with the ice cream for Liz, muttering; "Yeah right."

Liz took it from him, and looked over at Mello. "Something wrong?" she asked him quietly.

Mello's mind wandered back to Earth. "Hm?" he replied, looking at her.

"I said, is something wrong?" Liz took another spoonful of icecream.

"No, I'm fine." Mello's voice rasped. "It's just freezing in here."

"Eh. I'll go...turn up the heat then?" she got up and went for the thermostat.

"It's fine." The angry blond replied, hitting yet another mood swing.

Liz looked back at him and shrugged, trotting back to the couch and curling up. Mitheel was petting Jekyll, grinning as the cat licked his chin.

"I'm assuming the cat likes Mitheel," Mello paced himself to get some chocolate, having not eaten since Matt had gotten the disease.

"Oh, he does." Liz grinned as she watched Mayson angrily chase his tail. Mitheel kept the cat's head on his lap as he stared blankly ahead.
