The Mysterious Notebook Of Murder~Chapter I

"NOW." he said loudly, picking up the dog.

"True...."

Matt growled and paused the game, sliding it under his vest and standing up. "I would like Shasta back please..." the puppy, sensing Mello's angry energy, squirmed and whined in his arms.

Liz grinned and patted them both on the head (seeing how she was taller than both of them). "Don't worry, something will happen soon. I know it will."

Mello put the dog down, sort of dropping it on the bed. He walked out of the room, slightly jealous he got less attention and was growled at by Matt.

"Still don't get how your taller than me!" Autumn growled.

Matt picked up Shasta and rubbed his nose against hers. "Yes, you're a good puppy," he cooed, the dog barking in response to his voice.

Liz shrugged. "S'not my fault you're short."

"Alright, let's go. The two of them left this morning."

Matt took his place beside Mello, putting Shasta down so she could follow them. The puppy ran off and stood beside Oliver. The big cat was like a "mother" to her.

Liz stayed right where she was, ready to go when they were.

Mello twirled his gun while looking down at the floor. Akwardness.....

Autumn moaned. "Is there like, a Walgreens nearby?"

"Why do you need to go to Walgreens?" Matt asked, looking over his shoulder.

"....Hey man, my cat's gotta pee. Can I take him out?" Liz asked, noticing Oliver sitting at the door.

"Pain pills. They usually have my brand...."

"Sure." The fat Mexican dude said.

"Oh. For your face, I'm thinking?"

Liz opened the door, letting Oliver run out and lift his leg over a tree. Why he lifted his leg was uncertain.

"Shut up, Matt. You'd be in pain if you got shot in the face. Oh, wait, you don't know about it yet."

"You're right, I probably would be in pain if I was shot in the face...or anywhere, for that matter." He followed Liz as she went outside, wanting to get some fresh air.

Mello looked at Autumn with soft eyes, Autumn returned the look but glanced away quickly. "You're the same as me. I don't need meds anymore. You don't either, you just think you do. "I need them."

Matt watched as Oliver and Shasta began to play with each other. It was so strange it was almost funny, watching a 900 pound tiger playing with a 15 pound, probably not even 2 month old puppy.

The pair walked outside, Jon behind them without them even knowing.

Liz called Oliver to her side, and the cat bounded over. She took her place beside Jon, Matt taking Shasta into his arms and trotting beside Mello.

Again, akward. I feel so stupid today...

"Mello, you have 1 day left." Autumn piped up, after looking at her watch.

"No, no, no," Liz giggled, then she got a serious face. "You have twelve hours...and Mello, this is your last. chance." She grinned evilly.

"......No." He growled lowly. "No, I'm not doin it." Unless they offer me chocolate.......

"Mello, if you do, I will buy you a box of chocolates, 30 to a box, 1 box a week for two months. No, make that three months." Liz purred.

Mello's eyes widened, but then he snapped back into reaality. "Hm......I'll think about it..."

"Okay, just tell me when you make up your mind," Liz giggled.

There's no WAY he can resist a deal like THAT.. Matt thought nervously.

Autumn smiled evily. "And Matt, I'll buy you a PSP with 5 new games that haven't came out yet. And a huge pack of cigarretes every week."

Matt nearly jumped into the nearest tree. "Really?! OH FUCK YES LET'S GO FIND A CLOSET!"

"Hey, no fair. Gimme something else, since his shit is costing a lot more." His fingered glove pointed at Liz quickly.

"Chill, Matt. You haven't smoked in forever." Jon spoke.
