Death Note- Another Note Chapter 2

Bai caught the bottle, starting to chug it.

Mitheel shifted his weight from one foot to the other, watching as Lightning pounced on Bai's feet.

"Get off...." She dropped the empty bottle. "Teehee..."

Mitheel grinned as he stepped a little closer to Bai. "Hey Bai," he murmured, leaning in close. "I want to know what syrup tastes like." grinning, he pressed his lips to hers for a few seconds, before pulling back.

Bai blinked rapidly. "What....the...hell...did you just do? You could've just asked for a bottle of syrup if you wanted to know!"

Mitheel smiled. "But that's too easy."

TIMESKIP

Bai walked out of the house. "Okay, Dad!" Her father continued ranting. "I get it! Damnit, leave me to my killing." "Fine, but I warned you!"

Mitheel was sitting on his couch, calmly reading the newspaper, when suddenly...
It exploded in his face.
Laughing maniacally, Mellenda sprang from behind the couch and hurried out the door.
"MELLENDA! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Mitheel roared, following them out the door.

Miranda laughed, following after her sister. "Can't catch us!"

Growling, Mitheel ran after them, in hot pursuit of the twins. Outside, Flame and Rosibell, Liz and Jon's two kids, were waiting in their hiding place. Mellenda skidded to a stop in front of them, watching as Mitheel approached. "Are the traps in place?" she asked. Flame nodded, grinning. "All set, Mel."

"I wonder if we'll trap Mitheel's girlfriend!" Miranda raised her voice at the last two words, knowing it was going to piss him off deeply.

Mitheel's eye twitched. "I'm gonna kill you little brats," he hissed, running at them, unknowingly running right into their trap. Suddenly, he was high up in a tree, swinging by his ankle. "What--AHHH! Get me the fuck down from here!"

"YAY!" Miranda clapped, Bai staring at her. Miranda turned around. "Oh crap!"

Mellenda looked over at Bai. "Uh--run!" she turned and bolted in the other direction, Flame and Rosi following suit. Mitheel looked down at Bai. "Mind helping?" he asked.

"Sure," She grinned, taking out the knife and throwing it. The rope cut in half, the knife lodged into the trees trunk.

"Ahh!" Mitheel landed on his back rather painfully. "Ouch--thanks," he sighed, getting up and rubbing the back of his head. "I swear, I'm gonna kill them all one day."

"Aw, are you sure your fine?" She took his left hand. "If you ever need help killing them, I can most certainly do so."

"No, I didn't mean like really kill them," Mitheel said, eyes wide. "And yeah, I'll be okay. I'll probably have a few bruises, but I'll be okay." he struggled to his feet, brushing grass and other unsightly things off himself.

"Damn..." she murmured. "Bruises aren't bad, just weird..."

Mello watched as Miranda raced inside. "Lemme guess, Bai scared the hell outta you?" "Yeah!" Miranda called back, running to her room.

Mellenda followed her, tailed by Flame and Rosibell, who were stopped by Liz. "Where were you?" she asked. "Uh...we were...playing?" Rosibell said, grinning.

"That was so close." Miranda huffed.

"I know right?" Mellenda laughed. "We were sooo close to being murderer chow..."

Mitheel groaned. "Eh. So, anything you wanna do to get rid of the brats?"

"I don't get why he loves her so much! She's a God dang killer..."

"Poison is my last option, but my first one is drive them to Mexico and kill them."

"I know right? Rosi is so much cuter, and so not as killer-like," Mellenda sighed.

Mitheel blinked. "I mean uh, like, get out of their way so they won't bother us. Not kill them." he squeaked as he was suddenly pinned, and saw Dimitri sitting on him. "Hah! I'm getting better at that." he grinned, dark eyes flashing in triumph.

"Hey Dimitri." Bai laughed, managing to flash a smile. She was always more happy when she saw people.
