"Like you'd ever learn how to dogsled...or even catsled."

"Catsled? Cat's don't do sledding."

"Mine do. I have a whole team, Oliver's the lead cat."

"Are you sure you're not retarded?"

"Yes. A retarded person can't rehabilitate and re-train dogs now can they?" Liz asked, eyes narrowed.

"You'd be surprised." Jon sighed.

"Well, retarded, crazy, and mentally insane are three different things." Liz said, tossing Oliver a piece of steak.

"You're all three of those."

"Oh shut up." Liz called Oliver back to her side and she kept on walking. She started thinking about all of the animals back at the shelter, and she sighed, wondering how they were doing and if any new cases had come in.
"So you train dogs?" Matt asked.
"That's right. Not only dogs, but cats too. I train, rehabilitate, and sometimes re-train in the case of ex-fighting dogs."

[Hm...We must think of something interesting to happen.] Liz picked up a rock and tossed it around, humming "A girl worth fighting for" and trying not to drop it.

Timeskipping to.....whenever...

Mello held his kid. I still don't get it...

"Let me see! Let me see!" Liz whined, trying to push past Matt.

"You'll see later."

"Let me see NOW!"

Matt kept Liz at bay with his foot, while he leaned over Mello's shoulder. He grinned gently. "Mello," he said softly, still ignoring Liz's cries. "He's perfect."

{We did decide on a male, didn't we? DAMN THIS SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS.}

"Yeah." Mello sighed. "Let liz see before I feel the need to shoot her to shut her up."

Matt rolled his eyes. "Fine."
"Yay!" Liz pushed Matt out of the way so she could see. "Awww, he's so cute!" Oliver propped himself up and leaned over her shoulder--the big cat wanted a look too.

"Cute? What fucked up world have you lived in?"

Jon laughed at what Mello had said to Liz. "We've lived in 2013. That fucked up world."

"No, not cute, adorable!"

Matt growled at her and pushed her back. "Okay, you're done. Step back before you transfer your mental illnesses to my kid."

"I do not have mental illnesses!"

"You do, Liz. Many illnesses...." Mello laughed, glad the pain was over with.

"Well its not like they can be transferred just by me looking at him!"

"Maybe they can, you never know," Matt said, and then an eager Shasta tried to move through his legs for a look-see too, but Matt stopped her. "Woah there eager beaver, stay back for a second."

"They probably can. And what the hell does eager beaver mean!?"

"It means that someone really really wants to do something, but they are being too enthusiastic about it," Liz defined for Mello.
"The question was for me."
"Oh well, answer faster next time!"

"Oh yeah....hehe." Mello was a little on the different side at the moment. Autumn pushed past Liz. "Jesus, I fell asleep and I wake up to this?!"

Liz yipped in surprise as Autumn pushed past her. "I say that almost every morning," she laughed.

"No, not this day. Mello had his baby and I frickin slept through it. Damn those pills.."

"At least you slept through it. Everyone else was kept awake all night. Not like I care, I pull all nighters all the time," Liz grinned.

"Well, that's because you don't need pills."

"I think she does need pills, she just doesn't take them," Matt stated.
"Shut up asshole."
