"He almost got himself killed," Matt said, glaring at his son. Mitheel crouched under his glare.

"He ran off in the city with some girl and got himself cornered by two adults, probably murders or something. Good thing I got there in time," Matt said.

Mello knealed down to look at Mitheel. His voice softened as he spoke to his only son. "Who was this girl, Mitheel?"

Mello closed his eyes in disappointment, rising. "I'm very mad, you realize. But since you told me, I'm not gonna shoot you."

Mitheel ran his hand over Lightning, eyes dark.

Matt also went in, heading for Mitheel's room. "Mitheel?" "Go away!" he looked in--Mitheel was lying on his back, Lightning on his stomach. He was petting him and sniffing. "I know what you want to say. You want me to stay away from Bai. But I won't--I love her."

Mitheel huffed and closed his eyes, wishing everything would just be set right so he could simply be friends with Bai...and maybe more.
