The Mysterious Notebook Of Murder~Chapter I

"I'd beat everyone's asses in Spyro!"

"Well, you have been playing longer than me," Liz admitted.

"True. True....."

Still unnoticed, Mitheel had slipped out and was sitting on the front steps of the house, stroking Oliver's fur. He was thinking about what Mello had said about Bai, and he wondered if it would be safe to continue seeing her.

Bai cried out with laughter, killing yet another person.

Autumn sighed, walking into her room to take her pill for the day.

Mitheel looked at Oliver, seeing the wiseness in his old eyes. "What would you do?" he asked, not expecting an answer. He sighed, resting his head on Oliver's back.

"Hi Mitheel!" Bai smiled as she carried a severed hand.

Mitheel jumped as he saw her. "Bai!" he greeted. The hand for some odd reason didn't scare him. "Uh...whats that?" he asked, gesturing towards it.

Meanwhile, Liz was now in the backyard, peering up at the sky...until a black notebook fell, fluttering like an injured duck, falling inches from her feet. And the cover read "Death Note." Grinning, she picked it up. "Hello..."

"Severed hand. My parents gave me this journal and it's just so....awesome!"

"Journal?" Mitheel cocked his head a little to one side. "What does it do?"

"It kills people! They said they've had it for 8 years."

Mitheel blinked. "A notebook that kills people? Do you have it with you so I can see it?" he asked.

"Yeah!" Ryuk laughed. "What is it, Ryuk?" "Hm? Nothin'." Bai held the notebook out. "Touch it!"

Mitheel touched it, and looked up at Ryuk. Not feeling scared at all, he grinned. "Hi there!"

"Eh? Whatever...." Ryuk sighed, Bai throwing an apple at him. "Yay!"

Autumn heard a faint yell of happiness from outside. She got up and snuck out, seeing Bai and Mitheel.

"So...You're a Shinigami right?" Mitheel asked Ryuk. "Heh, I've heard of them, but I never thought they'd look so ugly!" (OOO STRAIGHT UP!)

"Whatever. I know when your dying anyway. Just like Bai's dad. I still don't get it.."

Autumn walked over to Mitheel. "There you are, Mitheel. You do realize we're playing Mario Kart, right?"

Mitheel jumped. "Wuh-oh hi Autumn. Yeah, and I'm not interested." he said.

"Who's she?" Bai asked, her wide; manga-like eyes glittering. This was her way to charm just about anyone.

"I'm Autumn.."

"Autumn, she's one of my Aunty Cici's friends. She has another one too, Jonathan, but he isn't liked very much..."

"She's older than you, right? Oh wait, yeah, she is."

Mitheel grinned. "I knew that already. What are you implying?"

"Nothing, I am impying nothing!" Her voice trembeled. Would he find out? Fuck no, she hoped not.

"Okay then..."
"Hey you guys!" Liz came bursting around from almost out of thin air, shoving the Death Note in Autumn's face. "Lookie' what I found!"

"I have one too!" Bai waved it in Liz's face and smirked.

Autumn snatched it. "You....you got the notebook back?"

"That's another one. I have the one my parents stole from Mitheel's parents!" Bai replied sweetly.
