The Mysterious Notebook Of Murder~Chapter I

Matt looked down. "There isn't anything wrong with me..." he murmured.

"It seems like there is, Jeevas."

[[It hasn't come back and it won't come up whenever I do that crap..my parents are gonna kill me!]]

[Tell them it's not your fault, if it just disappeared without you doing anything then they shouldn't get mad at you.]

Matt turned. "I'm perfectly fine." he shifted uncomfortably on both of his legs.

"Again, weird." Mello sighed and ventured off.

Matt watched him and wondered if he should follow or not. He decided against it for now and looked back down, still fiddling with the lint in the bottom of his pockets.

"I still don't understand what's up with him."

Matt exhaled slowly as thoughts raced around in his mind. I'm such a coward, he thought, closing his eyes.

I just don't understand it one bit. Is he planning something...? Maybe he's got a mafia!

['Cause he likes Mello but he's too afraid to say it...'cause like, what if Mello like shoots him or somethin', ya' know? I'd be scared too.]

Why is it so hard to say 'Mello, I love you?' he thought. Maybe I'll say it someday...but just not now...not today...it's not the right place.

Crap. He's got a mafia. I really wish he'd just give it to me at random and then I'd be number one again! Yay! Mello pulled out his chocolate and munched on it.

Matt pulled out another cigarette and lit it (the one he had previously had been knocked out in his downhill tumble), taking an inhale of smoke and then exhaling it, trying to calm his nerves.

Rustling was coming from beside Mello. "What the hell?!" A rope appeared, took him by the ankle, and hung him. "Shit....." Eventually, Mello shot the rope with a loud bang and fell to the floor.

Matt heard the loud bang and quickly ran to it. "Mello! What happened?" he asked, noticing the shot rope and keeping his distance between Mello and his gun.

"God, something or someone set up traps around here...." Mello sighed out, getting up.

"Traps? For what I wonder..." Matt mused, taking another inhale on his cigarette.

"Well, think about it Matt. Two killers, a bunch of little kids and two 19 year olds."

"Oh yeah...probably for us..." Matt sighed, a cloud of smoke rising above his head.

"Go figure." Mello said sarcastically.

Matt sighed and averted his eyes, looking towards the bushes.

Meanwhile, Liz was searching for Jonathan and Autumn. "Jay! Auty! Where are you!" she called.

[i] I can't ask him if he has a mafia....that would be so retarded. [/i Mello sighed out, and walked forward again.

"Hm?" Jon and Autumn said in unison, hearing Liz's voice. "We're coming...." They said again in unison.

Matt decided to follow him this time, in case he got into any more trouble.

"Hurry your asses up!" she shouted back, and sat beneath a tree, petting Oliver.

"Do you want something Matt?" Mello whipped around and asked him.


"Alright, damn. Chill out." Jon raced down the hill with Autumn. "Where's Mello? And Matt?" Autumn said worringly.

"No, I uh, was just following you to make sure you didn't get into any more...situations."

"Matt went off with Mello, they went that way," Liz said, pointing in the direction they had gone in.

"You don't seem so sure Matt. Talk."


"Figures much." Autumn sighed. Jon just walked toward the pair slowly.

"I'm serious, I don't want you to get hurt!"

"What do you think they're doing?" she asked Jay, then giggled evilly. "Maybe they're making ouuuut~"
