Mitheel winced slightly at the voice, and his heart raced unnaturally. Calm down...calm down... he told himself in his head.

Lightning, meanwhile, was speeding like a bullet towards the sound. He could smell blood, and the young cat was easily excited.

All Bai could do was whimper as she was shot for a final time. The shooter ran off, leaving no trace of the gunshots.

Lightning soon found Bai lying on the forest floor, and he let out a few soft chirps as he went over to her.
