The Mysterious Notebook Of Murder~Chapter I

"Hey! Gimmie my notebook back!" Liz hissed, grabbing for it. "It's MINE!"
Mitheel watched them fight over the Death Note, just standing there, grinning slightly.

Bai sighed, before writing a criminal's name in the notebook. She tore out a regular sheet of paper she kept in her back pocket and wrote her number down on it. "This is in case you get into trouble, then I can kill whoever makes you mad."

Mitheel looked down at the paper. "Gee Bai, thanks. That's really...thoughtful." he smiled.

Bai kissed Mitheel on the cheek. "You're welcome." She smiled before walking off with her severed arm.

Mitheel blushed terribly after she kissed him. He wanted to say something, but instead just watched her go, standing there, heart fluttering.

Autumn grinned. "TRUE LOVE!"

"Forbidden love," Liz swooned. "Just like Leafpool and Crowfeather!"
"Who pool and crow what?"
"In a world full of apples, Tiki, do not ask for orange juice."
"But I like orange juice."
"Same here."

"I think you should ask her out when the time comes, and you've both known eachother for a long time. It's always good to do that."

"...But I'm only 7!"
"Next thing you know you're 27 and you two will be married!"

"Exactly! And Mello will be freaking out and trying to kill you. So don't talk about it around him!"

"I wasn't going to, after the way he talked earlier..." Mitheel murmured.

"Good!"

Mitheel sighed. "I'm gonna go now..." he turned and trotted off, passing through some bushes to find his favorite place. It was on a high rocky overlook of the city. At night, he liked to watch the flickering lights. During the day, it was a nice quiet spot to hang out in.

"I sware your stalking me, Ryuk." Bai giggled, her eyes glowing again.

Autumn just rolled her eyes, and stalked off inside to finish the game.

Liz watched him go, and then she turned following Autumn, singing "Why should I worry, why should I ca-a-are!"

Mitheel sighed, rolling onto his back and flicking a rock off the edge of the overlook. "I want a brother." he said to no one in particular. "Why couldn't I have a twin or something? Not fair."

"BAI!" Beyond screamed, his daughter racing toward him.

Autumn's ears perked, but she went back to racing Jon.

Mitheel was still thinking intently on the subject, but he was interrupted from his thoughts.
Meow.
Mitheel looked around. "Who's there?"
Meow.
He heard the sound again, and he turned. "Show yourself!" as if on cue, a fluffy gray thing tumbled from the bushes and looked at him with wide, fearful eyes.
Cheep cheep cheep! Cheep cheep cheep!
"Cats don't chirp...well...all of them except...Cheetahs. But they live in Africa, right?" Mitheel picked the little bundle up. "Hey there little guy. You lost?"

Mello sighed before leaving the room into the kitchen, a little annoyed.

"What's the matter, Mello?" Autumn called out.

"Nuthin'."

Cheep cheep cheep! The cub cheeped, crawling into Mitheel's shirt. He laughed "Hey! That tickles!" the cub made himself comfortable and looked up at Mitheel with big eyes, chirping again. "Well, it looks like I gotta take you home now." as he started walking home, he decided on a name for the cub. "I'll name you Lightning, you look like a Lightning to me."

"....Do you guys hear that cheeping noise?" Autumn asked as her eyes drifted toward Liz and Matt.

Mitheel trotted in the house, pulling the cub from his shirt. "Dad, Dad, look what I found! Can I keep him? His name is Lightning!"
"Uh..." Matt looked at the little ball of fur in his son's hands. "Well...I'll have to talk to Mello first..."
"Oh Tiki, he's adorable," Liz cooed, patting his head. "I can see he's a cheetah. So cute!" Liz had a soft spot for animals, it was very noticable as she stroked him. Curious, Oliver padded over for a look, and Mitheel put Lightning down on the floor, where Oliver proceeded to sniff him and start to clean off his fur.

"He can if he wants to." Mello sighed, sitting on the counter, eating his chocolate.

"Hooray!" Mitheel patted the little kitten and ran into the kitchen, rummaging through the pantry.
"Mitheel, what are you doing?" Matt called, watching him.
"Making the cat some food."
"Won't some of Liz's cat food suffice?" Matt grimaced, watching him grab all kinds of meat stuff.
"Nonsense! He'll love this!" After he had mixed all that shit together, he looked at it in one small bowl. He set it down before the cub, grinning. The kitten took a curious sniff and a nibble as he said, "Oeufs a la Mitheel avec Cocoa Krispies." "Aww, his French lessons are working!" Liz cheered.

"Alright, whatever."

Liz yawned. "Well, I'd better take Oliver on his walk now. I'm sure he's been expecting it all day," she grinned, grabbing his lead and twirling it around. The huge cat came running, then sat at her feet, waiting for her to clip it on. As soon as she did, they were out the door, Oliver straining on the end of his lead.
