A NearxGevanni fan fiction





Author’s note: …So.
This is my first anything having to do with Gevanni or Near. I’ll probably do
another one of these, using the song “Ma Belle Evangeline” from…a Disney movie.
If you don’t know which one, too bad. Look it up on Google, you lazy people.
Jeevas people.





It was another late night for the SPK. Gevanni was out
getting dinner for everyone, and Rester, Halle, and Near were all at
headquarters. Near was dejectedly playing with his toys, Rester was taking a
break from Kira work and watching Youtube videos, and Halle was just sitting
there, watching Near, until she finally broke the silence.


“Near…You don’t seem to be enjoying your toys like you used
to. Is there something wrong?” she asked.


“No,” he answered quickly. “There’s nothing wrong. Nothing
at all, nope, I’m perfectly fine…”


Halle grinned, knowing she was on to something. “Oh really?”
she paused for a second. “Are you thinking about Gevanni?”


“What? No! Why would I be thinking about Gevanni of all people?” Halle couldn’t
see Near’s face, but she could tell from the strain in his voice that he was
probably blushing.


“Because you like him?” Rester put in, lowering the
headphones that had previously been on his ears to around his neck, the video
he was watching stopped.


“WHAT?! That’s crazy! I don’t like Gevanni!”


“Prove it!”


Near sighed. “Fine.” He got up (SHOCK) and paced to the
middle of the room.


“If there’s a prize
for rotten judgment…


I guess I’ve already
won that.” Near closed his eyes and hung his head, then growled


“No man is worth the aggravation,


That’s ancient
history, been there done that!”


Halle leaned against Rester’s chair as they sang together “Who’d ‘ya think you're kiddin'?
He's the Earth and heaven to you,
Try to keep it hidden,
Honey, we can see right through you,
Boy, ya can't conceal it
We know how ya feel and
Who you're thinking of!”


Near stalked away from them, folding his arms and turning
his nose up. “No chance, no way, I won't
say it, no, no!”


At this point, Gevanni was peeking around the edge of the
door, unnoticed by everyone. He decided to just stand and watch though.
Meanwhile, Rester and Halle continued; “You
swoon, you sigh why deny it, uh-oh?”


Near huffed. “It's
too cliché I won't say I'm in love!” He paced over to the couch and laid
across it.
“I thought my heart had learned its
lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming get a grip, Near
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
Oh~” On the last two lines, he sat up suddenly and paced to the other end
of the room.


Halle and Rester walked over closer to Near, Halle gripping
a photo of Gevanni in one hand.


“You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When ya gonna own up
That ya got, got, got it bad!”


Near sat in one of the chairs, crossing his legs and closing
his eyes. “WRONG! No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no!”


“Give up, give in,” Rester
sang.


“Check the grin, you’re
in love,” Halle continued, waving the photo of Gevanni in front of Near,
who grabbed it and frowned at Halle.


“This scene won't
play, I won't say I'm in love.” Near growled.


“You're doin flips
read our lips you're in love!”


“You're way off base I
won't say it,” Near said, then turned and yelled at them both “Get off my case! I won't say it!”


“Near, don't be proud
It's O.K. you're in love!” Halle sang, putting an arm around Near’s
shoulders.


“Oh… At least out
loud, I won't say I'm in love,” Near smiled, hugging the photo of Gevanni
close and closing his eyes.


“…That was impressive,” Gevanni said, stepping in. And
everyone fainted all at once.
